Early Interceptive Orthodontics for Children ages 6 - 11 yrs - This technique takes advantage of your child's greatest oral-growth years by using custom expanders to "grow" the jaws to make room for their future, permanent teeth. This treatment often eliminates the need for the extraction of permanent teeth and gives the best stable, long-term results. Traditional Orthodontics - commonly called "braces," use brackets and wires to level, align and rotate teeth into the most optimal and stable position. This method is done between the ages of 11-17, while there is still growth. It is sometimes combined with the Early Interceptive treatment described above to achieve the best results. LAVA-COS - No more messy impressions! If you ever had to have a dental impression done, you will be really happy to know that those days are going. We at My Best Smile are now using a digital impression technique with LAVA-COS. The teeth are prepared for either Veneers or Crowns then are sprayed with a tasteless powder, titanium oxide (the same powder used to make the mm on M&Ms). Then passing the wand over your teeth allows the sophisticated optics to gather the digital image and display the 3-D impression on the screen. The image is then sent to the lab that will process the restorations. On your return visit your custom veneers/ crowns are placed. Cutting –Edge technology will allow impressions to be taken fro complete and partial dentures and for orthodontic study models. Sapphire Crystal Light Bleaching - The Sapphire Crystal Light bleaching is the system recommended by Lumineers to get your teeth their whitest prior to having their veneers placed.
